Andaman and Nicobar Island Vacations

Previously known as Kalapani, Andaman and Nicobar islands are now a peaceful destination for relaxing. This place belongs to India but geographically closer to Southeast Asia. These are the cluster of around 600 islands near Bay of Bengal. Popularly known as “Veritable Garden of Eden” and ‘Nature’s paradise” the small and big islands of Andaman and Nicobar houses a variety of flora, fauna and marine life.

Best time to visit here: Best months to visit there are between November and April as the weather is quite favorable and pleasant for surfing the sea. January and February are the peak seasons out there. After February it’s slightly humid over there.

Main attractions: Most of the tourists come here to explore the scintillating charm and beauty with which nature has gifted to this paradise. So some of the major attractions are below:

Port Blair: Port Blair is the administrative capital city of Andamanand Nicobar. The city is blessed with charismatic natural beauty and offers wonderful opportunity to enjoy memorable vacation in Port Blair. Gandhi Park, Sippighat Farm, Chatham, Zsi Museum, Chidiya Tapu, Collinpur, Madhuban and Mini Zoo are some of the famous tourist attraction of Port Blair.

Neil Island: This beautiful island with lush green forest and sandy beaches is the vegetable bowl of Andamans, connected by boat from Port Blair four days a week. Neil Island is very popular among tourist as nature has blessed this island outstanding, making it the perfect place to enjoy vacations.

Rangat: One can enjoy the village life and solitude of virgin nature here. You can also breathe unpolluted air, a rare commodity for the city dweller. 

Diglipur: Situated in North Andaman Island, Diglipur provides a rare experience for eco-friendly tourists. It is famous for its oranges, rice and marine life.

Andaman Water Sports Complex: The complex offers all aqua-sport facilities like water-skiing, sail boats, windsurfing, speed boats etc., and safe water sports like paddle boats, row boats etc. Nearby is an Amusement Park and a children traffic park adjacent to it.

Snorkeling: One can enjoy the under-water marine life and view the rare varieties of corals by snorkeling in the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Carbyn's Cove Tourism Complex, Havelock and other islands on all days from morning to evening

Island Camping: For the nature lovers camps are the right choice who wish to enjoy the sun, sea and the beauty of nature by spending quiet holidays right on the beach. Tents are available on hire at all the guest houses at affordable rates.

Scuba Diving: Diving in Andaman waters offer a world of under-water marine life, varieties of colorful fishes, rarest of the coral reefs in the world, mysterious remains of sunken ships etc. All these can be explored through SCUBA diving.
