Nainital Tourism-The Perfect Destination for Tourism in Uttarakhand

Nainital Tourism - Located in the lap of Kumaon hills of outer Himalayas, Nainital is a popular destination in Uttarakhand in India. Nainital which is also known as Lake District of India is a paradise for nature lovers named after the goddess Naina Devi and located around Naini Lake.

According to a recorded history in Manas khand chapter of Skanda Purana, Nainital is referred to as the lake of three sages or Tri Rishi Sarovar. The three sages,  Atri,  Pulastya,  and Pulaha stopped over here  on their pilgrimage, to quench their thirst. But they find no water there. It results in duging a hole and transferring some water into it from the sacred lake of Tibet, Mansarovar. This way the famous lake of Nainital came into existence.
